How to Obtain Your Tax Summary
- Most people who pay Income Tax will get a Tax summary.
- If you’re a PAYE taxpayer, HMRC will send your summary by post.
- If you file Self- Assessment Tax Returns you will need to access your digital Personal Tax Account and view online.
- Avar do not and will not have access to your personal tax account nor your tax summary.
What your Tax Summary Includes
- Your taxable income
- How your tax was calculated
- National Insurance paid by the employer
- The average rate of tax paid as a proportion of taxable income.
What your Tax Summary Does Not Include
- Indirect Taxes, e.g. VAT, Stamp Duty, customs and excise duties
- Other deductions e.g. student loan repayments
- Capital Gains Tax
- Inheritance Tax
